Poetry: Simple Questions

Simple Questions

Ever

really searched a field

for a

four-leafed clover

or caught

a butterfly

to let it go?

Ever

landed on ground

pointed to

by elders

or been kissed

til it made you cry?

Ever seen

and reached the stars

almighty

or whispered to children’s fears alone?

Ever found the

World

returned accounted for

or found love

a pleasant smile

And its

inclinations

at

home?
