Raleigh, NC: B-U ENTERTAINMENT, LLC: DYNAMIC COUPLE + MUSIC COMPANY + YOUTH OUTREACH = EXTRA ORDINARY GLOBAL EXPERIENCES AND SUCCESS!

I recently had the good fortune to meet an extraordinary husband and wife team S. Bernard and Ursela Mitchell who are co-owners of a multi-purpose entertainment and youth outreach company called B-U Entertainment, LLC. We were introduced at a wonderful monthly networking event in Raleigh organized by Mike Eure of the Saint Augustine’s College Gateway Extended Studies Program.  B-U Entertainment, LLC as a company gets its significant start with the promotions of the works of,  S. Bernard and Ursela Mitchell who are themselves an internationally recognized recording group but will feature many other exciting artists in the near future. B-U according to Bernard and Ursela is an acronym for “Being Used…by Jesus for life”. The Mitchells as a recording group have received multiple awards and perform live original music. B-U Entertainment, LLC is also an umbrella for a youth outreach division called D-Day. D-Day Youth Outreach allows the Mitchells and the company to share music, entertainment industry training, mentoring, faith-based Christian instruction and personal experiences with youth (ages 10-18), parents and ministries nationally and internationally.

The multi-purpose company with its youth outreach division in the last year 2011-2012 for example, was contracted for a sixty-day (60) work opportunity touring their music and delivering workshops through-out France, Italy and Germany.  The dynamic couple also during this period performed and spoke with youth and organizations in North Carolina and in many domestic U.S. cities. Bernard and Ursela are in high gear but they are also thoughtful people. They are completing the scheduled activities this year ‘”giving back” to the less fortunate in a volunteer effort to support at-risk youth in rural Thomasville, NC through their D-Day (Deliverance Day) Youth Outreach.

Check this out! The D-Day Youth Outreach as an organization has a simple formula. It focuses on engaging youth as they are: whether they are gifted or troubled; whether they are leaders or in need of finding their way. The Mitchells meet them bearing their heart with the love of Christ. From the perspective of this organization youth today need to: 1) know and understand their identity and their strengths, 2) know how to coordinate their lives around their strengths and not their weakness, 3) to understand the purpose of collaboration and teamwork as opposed to individual competition efforts, 4) have strong consistent mentoring opportunities, and 5)   know how to apply conflict-resolutions in everyday life.

This company and faith-based outreach encourages its principals and associates to have expert “listening skills” about youth issues and then shares as they say, “the Word of God with a simplistic approach”. D-Day Youth Outreach you see works in partnership with other ministries and organizations to encourage sustainable youth/adult relationships. Topics of focus are: Conflict-Resolution, Cyber Predator Awareness, Teen on Teen Violence, Teen on Parent Violence, Sexual Harassment, Teen Pregnancy and Rape, Gang Violence, Healthy Lifestyles, Life-skills, Bullying & Self Affirmations, and practical biblical applications for everyday life. The organization is always ready and willing to work with trained professionals in these delicate psycho-social matters for a youth’s long-term growth and development.

Bernard says, “It takes knowledge of self to understand one’s own destiny.  Our goal is to bring guidance and direction to youth and to help them to establish strong foundations of trust, tenacity and spiritual wellness. We want this sense of comfort for every young person that we work with.  We want them to know their true strengths and how to orbit their lives around their strengths. This youth outreach is already making impact today and our greatest reward is seeing the youth reach personal milestones.”  Bernard is a native of El Paso, Texas, and he champions for the at-risk youth.   He is a husband, father of one, ordained minister, US Air Force veteran, award-winning international recording artist, professional musician, music producer, music engineer, entrepreneur and most of all a philanthropist.  All that he does today is because of his own personal experiences as a young person. His story of his early years touches the hearts of the masses of people today when he shares his testimony with youth and organizations he ministers to, along with his wife Ursela.  As a victim of child abuse and a broken home, he understands what happens to youth in these situations and works to help “shine the light on the path” of misguided youth.  Currently he, his wife Ursela and son Solomon reside in Raleigh, North Carolina, where their organization, B-U Entertainment, LLC is based.

Ursela says, “Young people are our future and we have to share our legacies, so we must invest in them. We have to help them maximize their potential and reach their destinies at the same time and support them to be the best local, national and global citizens that they can be. This requires our time, tools and resources.”  Ursela C. Mitchell is a native of Raleigh, North Carolina and has compassion for the plights of today’s youth.  She is a wife, mother of one, ordained minister, award winning international recording artist, spoken word artist, songwriter, entrepreneur and philanthropist.  Ursela, while working with Wake County Government and serving the homeless population saw up-close the need to reach out to others from different walks of life.  She attended North Carolina Central University and has a computer science and math background. Her true passion however is music and humanitarian efforts which has led to her success today as an accomplished multi-award winning international recording artist who uses music and personal experience to empower youth.

If you need a fundraising or entertaining musical event or a new program solution for your ministry or organization and want synergy and a ready collaborative partner to help get the attention of youth that you care about in programs, schools, churches, colleges etc. then call B-U Entertainment, LLC and D-Day Youth Outreach.
