While driving downtown through the Raleigh community yesterday on the way to find a Black Fathers conference I smelled fried fish…and came up on a “LIVE ENTERTAINMENT” block party.
Well the Raleigh community organization called, JUSTICE SERVED NC: “Take The Hand That Is Willing To Serve You” was holding a very well attended community event!

I learned that Ms. Diana Haywood-Powell is the executive director and Mr. Fitzhugh is certainly a “driving and popular community force”.
JUSTICE SERVED NC which advocates for positive youth development, crime prevention, pre-gang intervention, and transition support for young ex-offenders was in “high gear” with parents, children, extraordinary R&B and DJ mixed-music, delicious food, fun, cordial business-owners, and informative presentations on legal system awareness, mental health awareness, housing, and jobs related to the Raleigh area.
Business owners were present. Meet Ms. Invention herself!
Adrienne Small of Cookies & Sweets (919)995-6124 invented the perfect party favor “a cup cake on a stick” delicious and not wasted cake for parties of all ages.

Diva Styles & Sweets (910) 986-8054 had awesome cakes and my nut and fruit brownie!
The event also recognized the victims of black-on-black violence.
Thank God for the smell of fish… and conscious black people willing to make a difference! Go Raleigh, Go Raleigh… :>)
OMG, I had no ideal this would come out like this. We got too keep supporting our youth and the family.
We will be going something like this again Memorial Day weekend in honor of Rodriguez Burrell supporting Still Lives within.
