Theatre Talk logoTheatre Talk hosted by Michael Riedel of TheaterWeek Magazine and Susan Haskins, a casting director and Art Director of the La MaMa Theater is a ground-breaking public access series which they conceived as a McLaughlin Group/Meet the Press of theater. The superb interview and “open discussion” mixed-format of Riedel and Haskins with producer, Woddie King Jr. (an inductee of the American Theatre Hall of Fame) and Oscar Award Winning actor, Denzel Washington covers:

  • the significant  relationships then and now in the NY American Theatre
  • artistic signatures and the techniques in the craft
  • A Raisun in the Sun by Lorraine Hansberry as part of the  treasury of the English Language Arts and Humanities, and
  • the influence of Black Theatre on all levels and how the works and networks have affected  the lives of playwrights, actors and producers.
