The Impact of Great Schools
When I was a school-age child we went on a field trip to the Thomas Paine Cottage (a French expatriate and Founding Father of the new America) in my hometown of New Rochelle, NY in Westchester County. I was very impressed with the fact that Thomas Paine was writer of a hand bill called Common Sense and that through this writing her helped shape the ideas and the destiny of a country that he wasn’t even born in. I learned that New Rochelle was part of a global society back in the 1700’s and that everyone was not saying the same things about important topics — that many ideas were really exchanged. This was probably the first inspiration for my blog and desire to share ideas and news.
